Short Information : Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) invites online applications for direct recruitment to the post of Havildar Instructor under Bihar Home Guard (Home Department, Government of Bihar). Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2). Selection based on written test (qualifying) and physical efficiency test (PET) with running, shot put and high jump. Note: Candidates must qualify in all events. Maximum 3 attempts are allowed for shot put and high jump. Height and chest are not awarded marks but non-fulfillment leads to disqualification.
✍️ Written Examination (Qualifying – 100 marks)
- Exam level: Matric (10th) standard.
- Total questions: 100 Objective (MCQ) – each correct answer: 1 mark.
- No negative marking.
- Duration: 2 hours.
- Subjects: Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, Economics), Science (Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany), General Knowledge & Current Affairs.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 30% (30 out of 100).
- Written exam is only qualifying; final merit list is based on PET marks.
- If exam conducted in multiple shifts, normalization by equi-percentile method will be applied.

⚙️ Selection Process
- Step 1: Written Examination (qualifying – 30% minimum).
- Step 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Running, Shot Put, High Jump (100 marks). Final merit based on PET marks.
- Step 3: Document Verification & Medical Examination (by appointing authority).
- Step 4: Final appointment based on merit-cum-preference.

- Register with valid mobile number and email ID (OTP verification).

- Upload recent colour photograph (white background, 15-25 KB, .jpg/.jpeg) and signature (15-25 KB, .jpg/.jpeg).
- Pay application fee ₹100 online (Debit/Credit/Net Banking/UPI).
- Submit application and take a printout of the acknowledgment (no need to send hard copy to BPSSC).
