Short Information : Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB) has released notification for direct recruitment to 1200 posts of Hospital Assistant under Directorate of Public Health & Medical Education, MP. Candidates must have passed High School (Class 10) from any recognized board. Online applications will be accepted from 07 May 2026 to 21 May 2026. Written exam (CBT) on 24 June 2026. 📚 Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed High School (Class 10) from any recognized board (no minimum percentage required).
  • Domicile: Reservation and fee concession only for bona fide residents of Madhya Pradesh (as per MP Govt. rules). Other state candidates can apply only under unreserved category with full fee.
  • Number of Children: Candidates with more than two children after 26 January 2001 are not eligible (as per MP Civil Services rules).
  • Marital Status: A person married to a living spouse is not eligible unless specifically exempted by government.

Note: OBC reservation is 27% subject to final outcome of pending court case. Horizontal reservation for women (35%), ex‑servicemen, contract employees, and PwBD as per government norms.

Pay Scale: Level‑1 (₹15,500 – ₹49,000) as per 7th CPC.

⚙️ Selection Process & Exam Pattern

  • Only Computer Based Test (CBT) – 100 marks (No interview / PET).
  • Exam Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • Question Type: 100 objective (MCQ) questions.
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, −0.25 for wrong answer (negative marking). Unanswered: 0.
  • Normalization: Equi‑Percentile method will be applied if exam is held in multiple shifts.

🏢 Exam Centres (MP)

  • Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Neemuch, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Ujjain
  • Candidates can choose up to 4 preferences while applying. MPESB will allot centres based on availability.

🎯 Reservation Details (as per MP Govt.)

  • Vertical reservation: SC – 16%, ST – 20%, OBC – 27% (as per law), EWS – 10% (subject to income certificate).
  • Horizontal reservation: Women – 35% (MP domicile only), Ex‑servicemen – 10% (in Group C posts), PwBD – 4% (divided into VH, HH, LD, MD categories).
  • Contract employees: 50% of the vacancies in each category may be reserved for contract workers who have completed 5 years of continuous service (as per MP Govt. circular).
  • Priority in appointment: Disabled soldiers of recent conflicts → dependents of martyrs → ex‑servicemen → surplus employees → other categories (as per state policy).

📝 How to Apply Online (Important Instructions)

  • Only online applications through MP Online portal (www.mponline.gov.in) or directly on ESB website (www.esb.mp.gov.in).
  • Photo specifications: Recent colour photo (not older than 3 months) with white background, name and date printed on front. File size 15‑25 KB, JPEG/JPG.
  • Signature: Black/blue ink on white paper, file size 15‑25 KB. Capital letter signatures are not allowed.
  • Handwriting sample: Candidate must write the declaration "मैं घोषणा करता/करती हूँ..." and upload scanned copy.
  • Fill all educational details correctly. No change is allowed after final submission except during correction window (07‑26 May 2026).
  • Pay exact fee as per category. Fee once paid is non‑refundable.
⚠️ Note: Candidates from Baiga, Sahariya, and Bharia tribes of MP (special primitive tribes) may apply offline directly to the department (Directorate of Public Health & Medical Education) before the last date, as per MP Govt. special provisions.
