  • Horizontal Reservation: 25% of vacancies are reserved for Home Guards volunteers who have served for at least 3 years continuously and are currently serving (with certificate from District Commandant).

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) from a recognized university. However, for unpaid departmental employees (Home Guards volunteers), Intermediate (10+2) is also acceptable.
  • Mandatory PET 2025: Candidate must have appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and possess a valid score card. Only those with non‑negative normalized score will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
  • Domicile: Candidates must be residents of Uttar Pradesh to claim reservation benefits; others will be considered under UR category.
  • Physical Standards (Qualifying):
    • Height (Minimum): Male – 165 cm; Female – 152 cm. Relaxation for hilly areas and ST categories as per rules.
    • Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Male – 4.8 km race; Female – 2.4 km race (qualifying in nature).
  • Language: Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script is essential.

  • Shortlisting for Main Exam will be based on normalized score of PET 2025 – candidates will be called in merit order (up to the cut‑off).
  • Final selection will be based on marks obtained in the Main Written Examination only (no interview).

🎯 Reservation & Horizontal Categories

  • Vertical Reservation: SC (21%), ST (2%), OBC (27%), EWS (10%) as per UP Govt. norms.
  • Horizontal Reservation: Women (20%), Dependents of Freedom Fighters (2%), Ex‑Servicemen (as per rules), Persons with Disabilities (4% across all groups – blindness, low vision, deaf & hard of hearing, locomotor disability, dwarfism, acid attack, autism, muscular dystrophy, multiple disabilities etc.), and Outstanding Sportspersons.
  • Special Reservation: 25% of the total posts are reserved for Home Guards volunteers who have served for at least 3 years continuously and are currently serving (certificate from District Commandant required).
  • Candidates belonging to multiple reserved categories will get only the most beneficial relaxation.
  • EWS certificate must be issued between 01 April 2026 and 06 July 2026, based on income of FY 2025-26, valid for FY 2026-27.

📝 How to Apply Online – UPSSSC PC/BO 2026

  • Step 1: Visit UPSSSC official website: https://upsssc.gov.in and click on “Live Advertisement” for Advt. No. 10-Exam/2026.
  • Step 2: Login using your PET 2025 Registration Number and OTP received on registered mobile/email.
  • Step 3: Personal details (name, father/mother name, DOB, category, EWS, disability, gender, marital status) will be auto‑filled from PET 2025. Verify and edit if required.
  • Step 4: Select the post(s) you wish to apply for – Block Organizer and/or Platoon Commander (you can apply for both). Indicate your preference order.
  • Step 5: Provide educational qualification details (graduation degree, year, percentage, university).
  • Step 6: Upload recent photograph and signature if not already present (auto‑filled from PET).
  • Step 7: Pay application fee of ₹25 online via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI or SBI E‑Challan.
  • Step 8: After successful payment, download and print the Confirmation Page for future reference.
  • Correction: Candidates can modify certain fields (address, EWS, disability sub‑category, preference order, etc.) through the correction window up to 13 July 2026.
⚠️ Important: Only one application per candidate. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation. Do not wait for the last date to avoid technical issues.

⚠️ Crucial Instructions (Official Notice)

  • Only candidates who have appeared in UPSSSC PET 2025 and possess a valid score card (non‑negative normalized score) are eligible. Those with under‑investigation (UI) or provisional status may apply, but final selection will be subject to clearance.
  • Shortlisting for Main Exam will be done on the basis of PET 2025 normalized score (merit order). Candidates with zero or negative marks in PET will not be shortlisted.
  • The Main Exam will be held in OMR‑based (offline) or CBT mode as decided by UPSSSC. Admit card will be issued online.
  • Carry two printed copies of admit card and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport) to the exam centre.
  • Use of mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, or any electronic gadget is strictly prohibited. Possession will lead to cancellation and debarment.
  • OMR sheet must be filled with Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only. Use of pencil will result in rejection.
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – race – will be conducted only for candidates shortlisted on the basis of written exam? Actually as per PDF: "लिखित परीक्षा के आधार पर शार्टिलिस्ट किये गये अभ्यर्थियों हेतु उक्त परीक्षण/परीक्षा आयोग द्वारा आयोजित की जायेगी" – so physical test is for shortlisted candidates after written exam? However it is qualifying.
  • The Commission reserves the right to cancel or modify any vacancy/selection process without prior notice.
